The Fresno County Sheriff sent this notice on Sep 23:

Folks with destroyed homes in Zones F1P, F2JA and F2I are allowed to temporarily re-enter Thursday, September 24. For access, go to the check-in station at Foothill Elementary School, 29147 Auberry Road, Prather, CA 93651 between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Anyone whose home was not destroyed or is not a resident of the specified zones will not be admitted. Zone F2JA includes Dogwood Mountain (Creek Fire Evacuation Zones). You can check the status of your home on the Creek Fire Structure Status map.

The Creek Fire started September 4

Unfortunately, the Dogwood Board has no information about damage to our homes. But, as of Sep 12, official damage assessment teams have started working in Dogwood, and CAL FIRE is reporting results on this Creek Fire Structure Status map. Hint: change the Basemap, e.g., to “Firefly Imagery Hybrid”, to show street names. You can find more information at the Sierra National Forest and Sierra 911 Info Facebook groups.

Break-ins

A homeowner on Woodland Rd reported a break-in at their cabin on July 21. “The door key lock pad was cut off, they opened the door and found there was an alarm. The alarm scarred them off thankfully.”

Earlier, there was a break-in reported in lower Dogwood this winter, and one resident spotted some people snooping around her neighbor’s house. Be aware and report suspicious activity to the Fresno County Sheriff. Call 911 for an emergency or 559-600-3111 for Non-Emergency Dispatch.
