Annual Meeting October 5, 2013

Our meeting this year was a potluck at the Historical Center at the entrance of Edison Campgrounds.

The first handout was the Dogwood Mountain Homeowners Financial Statement (PDF)

The second handout was a set of six county work orders (PDF; large) for road work in CSA 35 AS. Here is a summary:

• Woodland Install 200' day labor patch. Install 230' paved drainage gutter. Clean and flush drop inlet, and cross drain pipe $2,880.60
• Solitude Install 2220 sq ft paved drainage gutter $3,367.02
• S. Applewine Patch and seal 595 sq. ft road surface $1,407.98
• N. Applewine Patch and seal 9514 sq. ft. road surface $6,329.96
• Big Shuteye Patch and seal 5875 sq ft road surface $5,300.60
• Little Shuteye Patch and seal 10,472 sq ft road surface $3,349.36

Mike Hankins described how the county decides on road repairs with input from him and the committee. This year was just patching. Repaving costs $175,000 per mile. Dogwood has 6.3 miles of road. Next year we may have enough money to repave 2 miles.

Ken Skinner is leaving the board. We welcomed two new board members:
